Diabetes and Breastfeeding – Breast Feeding May Reduce Diabetes Risk

Excess accumulation of fats in body creates overweight and degrades the metabolism rate. Breastfeeding helps in removing fat content in body there by reducing their body weight. This maternal belly fat is a major risk factor of type 2 diabetes or diabetes mellitus. Lowering of body weight by breastfeeding thus helps in reducing diabetes risk to a great extend.
