We have all heard the expression ‘breast is best,’ and there is no doubt that for your baby, it is. Breast milk contains the perfect amount of proteins, carbohydrates, minerals and vitamins, to ensure your child grows healthy and strong, with maximised defence against infection. But do you feel tied down by the fact that your baby relies solely on you for survival, and that you have to be always available for feeds? There is definitely no problem to involve your partner in the feeding process if you express your breast milk, and save it for later. This is not only great for you as a mother, as you are now free to do other things safe in the knowledge that your partner or babysitter can take over; but also your baby is still getting all the goodness of breast milk.
